Early 20th Century English Regency Style Waterfall Crystal Chandelier

About the Item

This Circa 1920 English Regency Style 6-Light Chandelier is a testament to fine design and timeless elegance. Known as a "Waterfall" chandelier, it features cascading crystals that create a stunning visual effect, reminiscent of a flowing waterfall. Entirely crafted of crystal, the light dances through the intricately faceted prisms, bowls, and orbs, producing an extraordinary display of brilliance and sparkle. Inspired by the Regency period (1795–1837), this chandelier reflects the refined elegance and symmetry that defined the era. Regency-style lighting is celebrated for its balance, gentle curves, and incorporation of French, Classical Greek, and Egyptian motifs. Waterfall-oriented crystals adorn the top and bottom, enhancing its refined symmetry and balance. This glamorous display of lighting is sure to draw all eyes, making it a captivating centerpiece in any space. Perfect for a traditional home, a contemporary city condo, or a modern loft, this chandelier combines graceful curves and shimmering crystals to exude a sense of refined luxury. Located in Chicago, IL
This early 20th-century five-arm Rococo-style bronze and crystal chandelier features porcelain plaques inspired by the works of Jean-Honoré Fragonard, a renowned French Rococo painter. The Rococo style is celebrated for its ornate elements, intricate curves, and nature-inspired motifs. The chandelier's cast bronze body is adorned with porcelain plaques and crystal prisms in various shapes and sizes. Encrusted crystal beads at the bottom enhance illumination and beauty. When lit, the faceted crystals create a brilliant display, complementing the exquisite bronze detailing. This chandelier blends seamlessly with another similar chandelier, which, while not identical, mirrors its aesthetic charm. The other chandelier, made of gilt bronze and brass, complements this one beautifully, despite lacking gilding. Gilt bronze, also known as ormolu, has been gilded with a thin layer of gold, giving it a more luxurious and luminous appearance than plain bronze, which retains its natural, darker patina. They also pair harmoniously with our tall early 20th-century French Giltwood Mirror featuring Fragonard porcelain...
