Empire Style Bronze & Crystal Tent & Basket Chandelier, France, Circa:1910
About the Item
This armless tent-and-basket chandelier was hand crafted in the Empire style in Paris in the early days of electrified light fixtures. Inside the bronze frame, hidden by the tent of crystal buttons & baguette prisms, are 6 lights attached to a center bronze pole. There are amethyst prisms adorning the band at the top of the basket plus an amethyst ball at the bottom. Given the placement of the lights, this fixture has a beautiful effect when lit & dimmed at night.
Ceiling cap, hanging hardware, and 1 foot of chain included.
