View AllRectangular Billiard Style Glass Rod and Nickel Chandelier, P. Fargette, 1940
By P. Fargette
Located in New York City, NY
This unique rectangular shaped modernist chandelier, circa 1940, is attributed to P. Fargette. A French chandelier of billiard style and Industrial Design with an elongated demilune edge profile, stepped flat frosted bottom glass and sides formed of stacked glass rods which give a ridged appearance. Pyrex glass rods as seen on the sides of the chandelier were first used in this way in 1944 by Frank Lloyd Wright in his controversial Johnson Wax Building...

Noverdy produced at the same time as Daum, Schneider and Degué, and the quality and design of his art glass have made his name world-renowned.
