About the Item

The Flores Dome Pendant draws inspiration from both Brutalist design and Mexican folk traditions, balancing sculptural strength with minimalist ornament. Hand-formed from red clay, the pendant embraces elements of Brutalism with raw material, and architectural minimalist forms. Across the surface of the dome, hand-cut flowers are placed in a playfully rhythmic pattern. Their shapes are simple and direct, and cast their own shadows. The dome exterior is left unglazed, highlighting the natural warmth and texture of the deep red clay. In contrast, the interior is finished in a high-gloss cobalt glaze that creates a dramatic shift—earthy matte on the outside, radiant shine within. Antique brass hardware and a tan twist cord ground the design in timeless detail. This fixture measures appx. 7.75"H from where the brass meets the wire connection to the bottom of the dome; Overall drop is currently set at 54".
