About the Item

Awesome flower power mod Mid-Century Modern dome hanging light or swag lamp comprised of a painted metal dome, decorative bulb, and chain with bow tie links. It has a tag saying Hecho en Mexico and Soldario or Soldaua or Soldano maybe Soldavio. We’ve tried all of them to no avail. We are open to suggestions! Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. There are a few chips and wear spots but fairly unnoticeable due to the paint technique. Wiring and lights have been examined and are in working order. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1960-1970’s. Check out this GROOVY dome shaped mod hanging light covered in “foxy-Fine” flower power!! It is comprised of painted metal flowers in awesome colors of pink, lavender, white, green, red, and brown. It’s out-a site!! It has a label, and we know it came from Mexico, but we can’t decipher the name…” bummer!” The paint has a few chips and wear spots but honestly, it was created to purposely have a crackled and aged look, and you don’t really notice the “chiggers.” Right now, it has a “far out” chain with bow tie links and a plug-in cord so it’s considered a swag lamp or hanging light BUT if you prefer, we can provide a canopy and ceiling hardware and we can shorten the chain to your specifications and remove the plug so it can be hardwired as a ceiling pendant light. Can you dig it? Under the “chrome dome” …well, it’s not really a chrome dome, its metal…but that was the cool phrase for a bald head back in the 60’s…and it kind of fit there… Anyway, under the metal flower covered dome there is a super cool decorative bulb. It’s almost as cool as a new pair of bell-bottoms! This baby is hard to beat in mod style and will look awesome in any room in your “crib!” How groovy would this light be in a young girl’s bedroom? Or hanging above a mirror so you have a little light to fluff your mop-top or beehive! You need this painted metal flower power hanging dome light! It’s a gas, gas, gas!
