Under the cross-influence of fragmented information and huge market growth rate, a new wave of creation has been created, which is quite different from the traditional creation methods such as linear development and time accumulation. Under such a premise, it enriches the forms of eclectic, which is a burden to dig deeply into things and inevitably affects each of us.
During a study tour in Spain, I took photos of the lobby chandelier in almost every building, which is very similar to the church window. Given the history of multi-ethnic integration in Spain, such as the combination of islamic traditional metal frame lighting and church window, I was guided to take inspiration from the church architecture.
Erie Cathedral, located in Cambridge, was born 670 years ago, and has been restored to its present appearance after many times. When light enters the interior through the window-paned glass roof, it reflects strange light through the vault, as if it is in a giant kaleidoscope, a feeling that does not exist in this space and time. The details of the arch structure and aesthetics centuries ago are clearly revealed, like an ancient and future revelation. The timeless beauty of glass, vaults, metal and intricate classical decor feeds new designs.
Sing Chan ( Chinese: ???/Xingyu Chen) , the founder of SINGCHAN DESIGN, was born in 1990, and graduated from the Department of Industrial Design in Guangzhou University in 2013. He served as the Design Director for Bentu Design in 2016.
Founded his own design studio in 2020, Sing specializes in discovering new revelations from different civilizations and eras, reconstructing them through design methods, and shaping new objects that link the past and the present.
Panyu, Guangzhou, China, where Sing grew up, is a small town with a rich history along the Pearl River. In the early years, thanks to the developed waterway transportation, the port of the town has a very close relationship with Hong Kong, the imported cultures, utensils, and values meet and fuse here.
It was not until he had been in the design industry for more than ten years that he realized that his understanding of native culture was shallow. He is confused about this, and experience tells him that the truly valuable objects are not groundless and pieced together, but based on historical inspection and adaptation of the times. Sing hopes that his design can be like a story that is worth telling in a lyric way, affecting the present across time.

The past and the future are never disconnected. In this multifarious world, things are full of connections. Maybe we have to be reckless, maybe we can turn a blind eye, maybe we can be voracious, and maybe we can be casual, the time is.
It has been two years since the last lamp creation, and this presentation will continue the past, complementing the Fragment series and expressing some ideas that have not been realized. The new collection was inspired by I.M. Pei's Louvre Pyramid, which was heavily criticized by Parisian society for being too avant-garde and out of place in the Classic Louvre. It seems to be the same as Fragment series, seeking a balance point between the avant-garde and the classical. The glass is attached to the metal to wrap the light, and the light travels through the tight structure, sometimes hitting the wall, sometimes being free, extending infinitely in the limited space.
Although inspired by the Louvre Pyramid, but different in light efficiency. In the initial test, only the four sides of the glass were tested without fixed light effect. Staggered light was born to form a unique cross light...

About Pisces
Pisces is perhaps Andrea’s most personal collection to date. An avid surfer whose ideal morning involves riding the waves in Malibu, she channeled the ocean’s fluid rhythms, sunlit hues, and sculptural contours in designing each of the fixtures. But her inspiration dives even deeper and surfaces even more specifically. Alone on the sea with her board, Andrea observed the mesmerizing movement of glowing kelp blades through the deep blue water. She thought about how the presence of kelp is a sign of a healthy ocean. An idea began to take shape. Back in her studio in Los Angeles, she brought her vision to life, choosing smooth, floating brass and undulating aqua-colored fiberglass to echo the textures and colors she had admired, and she and her team carefully engineered the elements to flow seamlessly around each other, wave-like.
Even the fixture names, which honor iconic surfboard designers, hold special resonance for Andrea.
