About the Item

A handsome and high quality French 19th century Louis XV st. Ormolu and patinated Bronze chandelier. This most unique six arm chandelier is centered at the bottom by an elegant spiral fluted finial below the patinated Bronze central support encased in scrolled foliate Ormolu movements. The six scrolled arms emerge from the center of the chandelier and display stunning foliate movements leading to the circular foliate bobeches and candle cups. The patinated Bronze fut showcases a solid ball finial above accented with the Fleur de Lys, symbolic of French Royalty. Above is an impressive Ormolu ring which is suspended from a stunning tied bow and draped tassels. Wonderful proportions and intricate attention to detail throughout. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
