French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Ormolu And Frosted Etched Glass Lantern
About the Item
A beautiful French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and frosted etched glass lantern. The lantern is centered by the elegant etched frosted glass housing which displays a fine sunburst design at the bottom and elegant interlocking and oval shapes. The richly chased pierced top crown displays fine rosettes with detailed acanthus leaves and scrolled foliate movements. Leading up three ormolu scrolls is the fluted top crown and support above.
