About the Item

A beautiful and extremely high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period six arm ormolu chandelier, attributed to Henry Dasson. The chandelier displays a lovely inverted bottom foliate finial centered by four fine foliate plaques. At the center are three wonderfully detailed and most charming cherubs seemingly flying through the air. Each cherub is draped in a flowing fabric and holds a branch decorated with finely chased leaves in each hand. At the center is the fluted body which displays a most decorative pierced star and foliate design with three elegant chains which lead up to the canopy.

A most elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu, frosted and cut glass, twelve light chandelier , in the manner of Henri Dasson. The chandelier with the a bottom acorn finial has four 'C' scrolled maidens flanking central oval frosted glass with a beveled border. The oval frosted glass inserts are surrounded by a lattice beaded design with rosettes, all below a pierced acanthus leaf wreath.
