About the Item
A striking and most elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period ormolu, Baccarat crystal and Saxe porcelain chandelier. The chandelier is centered by a lovely finely detailed bottom acorn finial below large decorative acanthus leaves. The four lightly scrolled arms branch out from a beautiful pierced wrap around ormolu tier with richly chased Vitruvian scrolls. Each arm displays outstanding Saxe porcelain flowers amidst charming finely detailed leaves, beautiful Baccarat crystal pendants and foliate bobeches and fluted candlecups. Four superb chains lead upwards and center a most impressive and extremely decorative branch growing upwards with additional exceptional colorful Saxe porcelain flowers and striking leaves. Above is the elegant top crown with a central acorn finial and beautiful scrolled ormolu sprays with Baccarat crystal pendants.
