About the Item

A stunning and very unique French 19th century neo-classical st. patinated bronze, ormolu, and Baccarat crystal chandelier. The eight arm chandelier is centered by a lovely bottom flower bud finial below beautiful scrolled ormolu movements with finely detailed scales, arrow tails, and richly chased griffin heads. The central tier retains its original impressive and extremely decorative etched Baccarat crystal plate fitted within an elegant mottled patinated bronze border with striking wrap around ormolu palmettes. Four chains lead upwards to the superb palm frond canopy with an inverted acorn finial.
