French Belle Epoque Empire style Gasolier and Oil Reservoir Chandelier
About the Item
This most unusual fixture was once gas and oil and has been subsequently electrified. It has a pair of globe shades mounted on oil reservoirs flanking a central light , it also has eight lights once gas and now electric . The bronze frame is applied with gilt mounts As the photos show, there is much going on with this fixture which make it both highly decorative and technically interesting.
