French Crossed-Bar Four-Light Iron Chandelier from the Mid-20th Century

About the Item

A French midcentury four-light forged-iron chandelier. This vintage chandelier from France has a rectangular-shaped, cross-bar design with four torch style lights. The four torch lights, each having twisted posts, support their iron cup style bobèches with painted candle sleeves within their centers. Four thickly linked chains connect the body to it's upper canopy. The light fixture has been rewired for the US and comes with a complimentary 3-foot chain and canopy painted to match. This French black iron chandelier from the mid-20th century would work well over a breakfast table or perhaps a kitchen island.

A French ring-shaped iron chandelier from the mid-20th century. This French forged iron circular-shaped chandelier features a central ring which is adorned with fleur-di-lis and anchor motifs about its perimeter. The iron light arms have nice spade-like motifs descending from their lower bodies, with the upper half rising above the ring and outward in an L-shape design. There are nine lights total, set in a fluid up-and-down pattern about the ring. This iron piece is an overall black color with some brighter sunset undertones showing through in patches.
