Fine French Louis XV Style Gilt-Bronze and Rock Crystal Chandelier, 20th Century
About the Item
A large fine French Louis XV style gilt bronze rock crystal, amethyst, crystal and cut-glass sixteen-light chandelier in the manner of Baccarat. The floral gilt bronze frame decorated with fleur de lis, a wide central cut-glass stem, all surmounted with sixteen scrolled candle arms among rock-crystal pendants, carved crystal bells, beads and molded cut-glass fleur de lis. The trimmed gilt bronze banded apron surmounted with side-by-side cut-glass fluted beads and a large blown-cut-glass ball hanging from the bottom, circa first half of 20th century.
