Giso Pendant by W.H. Gispen for Gispen, 1950s

About the Item

The uniquely exquisite pendant lamp, crafted in the Netherlands by Gispen under the name GISO, has been meticulously rewired and cleaned. Its original patina on the nickel and aluminum is an integral part of its charm, preserving its historical allure. These lamps originate from a church in Kralingen, Rotterdam, where they illuminated the space for many years. Constructed from opal glass set within an aluminum shade, secured by four nickel arcs that create a crown-like effect, the lamp exudes a regal yet understated elegance. The pendant itself is also nickel, ensuring a harmonious design throughout. Originally fitted with an E40 socket, it now includes an E27 adapter for modern convenience while retaining its authentic character. -110-120V wiring on request. -If you request more than 1 piece the deliver time will be a little longer.

Preben Dahl Symfoni Pendant Lamp
By Preben Dahl
Located in Amsterdam, Noord Holland
This beautiful lamp was designed by Preben Dahl for Hans Følsgaard Belysning in the 1960s. Little is known about this designer until today, except that he designed a handful of lamps, including this beautiful geometrically designed one. The lamp is part of the Symfoni lighting series, consisting of ceiling lamps and pendant lamps made of white and blue/grey lacquered metal in a harlequin-like pattern. The lamp is made of several layers of lacquered steel that are bent into a shape like a diamond. In our opinion, it is also a gem among Mid Century designer lamps...
