Globe Chandelier Reticello attibuited to Carlo Scarpa per Venini, Murano, 1950s

About the Item

This elegant pendant lamp, attributed to Carlo Scarpa for Venini, dates back to the 1940s and represents a perfect synthesis between Murano glass art and architectural design. The spherical diffuser, hand-blown according to the ancient reticello technique, displays an extraordinary net texture created by intertwining two sets of glass canes oriented in opposite directions. The result is an ethereal and refined visual effect that diffuses the light with extraordinary softness. The patinated brass stem and rosette add a warm and material contrast to the lightness of the glass, enhancing the sculptural character of the piece. A rare and evocative creation, ideal for refined environments, collectors and lovers of Italian artistic glass. Dimensions: Globe diameter: 25 cm Total height: 100 cm Conditions: Excellent vintage condition, professionally rewired. Minimal signs consistent with age.
