About the Item
The Helix chandelier is inspired by the Helix Nebula. The Helix Nebula has sometimes been referred to as the "Eye of God." In ancient art, design, and architecture, the use of fractals crosses cultures and religions. This one of a kind piece by John Brevard weighs over 60 pounds and is a statement piece of any space.
This piece is limited edition with only 5 made, each in slightly different colors and finishes. Each piece is crafted by hand in steel.
About the Designer:
John Brevard applies his background in architecture and multidisciplinary arts to create ethereal designs that are not only visually stunning but also conceptually powerful. Inspired by the principles of natural order, each creation is symbolic of the inseparable relationship of the part to the whole.
After a near death experience, Brevard developed a fascination with proportions and patterns found in nature and theoretical sciences, namely sacred geometry and phenomenology. Brevard manifests this vision through an experience, which encompasses and merges design, fashion, architecture, and technology for an integrated new world.
Verahedra:
The Verahedra collection features a series of complex and interlocking geometries, reminiscent of Euclidean geometry and ancient architecture from Egyptian, Mayan, and Sumerian temples. These geometries are found in fractal ancient architecture around the world. Derived from the Latin words vera (“truth”) and hedron (“number of sides”), this collection was created to channel Strength and Power, characteristic of those monumental structures from our past.

John Brevard is a lifestyle brand integrating design, technology, sustainability, and consciousness. Thoscene was built to focus the user on their interconnectedness with the natural ecosystem. By utilizing parametric modeling software, biomimetic forms, and astrological algorithms, Thoscene allows customers to order & 3d print in store one-of-a-kind jewelry, art, and accessories pieces based on personal inputs such as time, date and location of birth.
