French mid-century butterfly pendant ceiling-light by Hettier-Vincent, France, ca.1925. Glass & wrought-iron. Thick frosted molded glass shade with butterflies and flowers. Height : 21.7"(55cm), Diameter : 7"(18cm). Delivered wired for your country (US, UK, EU, China, Australia, etc). LED can be used. Hettier-Vincent was the top end of the market offering their lamps to the Parisian upper-class. Their bases and fixtures were made of bronze or wrought iron. The shades were made by the greatest French glassworks in this period. The molded glass shades the most often from Holophane (Les Andelys) that produced its own art glass pieces under the Verlys and Des Hanots signatures. The mottled and acid-etched glass shades were the most often made by Muller Freres and the crystal shades by the Cristalleries de Baccarat. In 1929, they opened a prestigious shop on the famous Place des Vosges in the heart of the capital. Hettier-Vincent is a company created in 1920s. Its headquarter was located 10 rue de Turenne in Paris. The company designed their own lighting for each new season and ordered their glasses at one of the large glass factories of the era, most likely at Holophane the mother company of Verlys and Hanots. The bronze or iron hardware of H&V is never signed.
