About the Item
French Art Deco table lamp by Hettier & Vincent, 10 rue de Turenne in Paris, France, circa 1925. Glass and wrought iron. Thick molded glass shade made at Des Hanots glassworks for Hettier & Vincent, white tending slightly towards yellow. Beautiful wrought iron base. Same period as Daum, Muller Frères, Schneider, Degué, etc. Measures: height 14.1" (35.8cm), outer diameter 9.5" (24.2cm). Delivered wired for your country (US, UK, EU, Australia, etc).
Hettier & Vincent is a company created in 1920s. Its headquarter was located 10 rue de Turenne in Paris. In 1929, they opened a prestigious shop on the famous Place des Vosges in the heart of the capital. Hettier & Vincent was the top end of the market offering their lamps to the Parisian upper-class. Their bases and fixtures were made of bronze or wrought iron. The shades were made by the greatest French glassworks in this period. The molded glass shades the most often from Holophane (Les Andelys) that produced its own art glass pieces under the Verlys and Des Hanots signatures. The mottled and acid-etched glass shades were the most often made by Muller Freres and the crystal shades by the Cristalleries De Baccarat.
