About the Item

Top class chandelier with unique alabaster handcarved shade / bowl and perfect hanging. Thanks to its largest size ever and good condition this alabaster chandelier will light up your days and evenings in a way that no modern fixture ever could. This stunning and largest ever specimen is all hand-crafted and they used the perfect alabaster rock, because it comes with very evenly divided thick thunderstroke black veins and patches that make it look even more beautiful. That combined with the whiter veins and cloudy patterns that have formed in this mineral stone over a period of thousands of years makes it truly special and when the light shines through this shade they always create a light effect that is calm and atmospheric. This chandelier comes with still the three original brass and porcelain sockets (picture 10). They be rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage upon arrival in the country where this eye-catcher will be used and enjoyed. This is one of the two largest (the other matching one will be listed on 1stdibs within days) we have ever purchased and they came via one of our respected trade contact. These are not only by far the largest and deepest alabaster pendants we have ever had the pleasure of offering, they also come with beautifully hand-carved garlands of roses and more around on the sides and three unique carved-out-of the-alabaster-rock suspension points. Combined with a more timeless canopy and three perfect and strong iron wires for hanging, this rare ceiling light can be used and enjoyed in all kinds of interiors. For it to still be in this good condition after more than 100 years is like an ode to the craftsmanship of early 1900 artisans in Europe. We could shoot many more photos, but you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this (or these) alabaster shades. In real life (or in person) our antiques always have that little bit extra and these unique chandeliers certainly are no exception. Both with the lights on and of their timeless beauty will never go unnoticed and the alabaster shades both still are solid and strong. Finally, this extremly rare fixture is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and thanks to the iron wire we can also change the height to one that is perfect for you. With perfect packing (in a custom made box or crate) and worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days included in our fair price this largest alabaster chandelier too is great value for money AND our US clients will not have to pay any import duties either as we will take care of the necessary paperwork for that also.
