Ilmari Tapiovaara large 'Maija' pendant lamp in brass and white for Santa & Cole
Founded in 1985 in Barcelona, Santa & Cole produces iconic pieces by such luminaries as llmari Tapiovaara, Miguel Milá and other European icons with a commitment to faithfully re-edition their legendary designs with uncompromising attention to detail, materials and craftsmanship.
The 'Maija' pendant lamp, designed in 1955 by Ilmari Tapiovaara, was inspired from typical Baltic cities, where public lighting was scarce and instead streets were illuminated by light streaming through the window shades of adjacent homes. Featuring stacked metal discs through which the warm light filters outwards, the 'Maija' pendant lamp is executed in metal shades, matte brass fittings and an interior white glass diffuser. Today the 'Maija' continues to be meticulously crafted to Santa & Cole's exacting standards using the highest quality materials available.

Illuminated via integrated 8.4 watt LED providing 329 lumens of 2700K color with CRI 90. Dimmable according to switch (switch not included). Suspended by metal cable and powered by black cord with maximum drop of 129". This lamp is UL listed and IP20 rated.
