About the Item

A fine original Art Deco period, impressive and voluminous blossom chandelier featuring eight heavily molded, bulbous, frosted art glass panels of ovoid shape mounted in original nickeled bronze armature. Attributed to Val Saint Lambert The eight sinuously shaped art glass panels balance around a small central coup in this large scaled French Art Deco chandelier. An intricate pattern of a stylized, radiating floral motif on each panel offers the viewer an understated elegance to this monumental chandelier. The nickeled bronze framework curves gracefully, and curls inward. The circular framing is suspended from a fluted ceiling canopy where four tendril type hooks grab the four rods to support the framework of the chandelier. The entire form has an organic and majestic appeal. The chandelier can be lengthened or shortened and/ or plated a different finish for a surcharge. Can be shortened to a semi flush mount if necessary. Wired for US specs. Nine candelabra based sockets can accommodate either LED's or incandescent bulbs.
