Italian 19th Century Louis XV St. Giltwood, Gilt Iron, & Crystal Chandelier
About the Item
A wonderfully decorative Italian 19th century Louis XV st. Giltwood, Gilt Iron, beaded Glass, and Crystal chandelier. The eight arm chandelier has a bottom Giltwood finial below carved acanthus leaves and leading to the eight 'S' scrolled Gilt Iron arms which end with pressed Gilt Metal foliate saucers. Each of the arms are decorated by a bottom beaded strand and hanging cut faceted water drop Crystals. The arms are joined by swaging beaded garlands which are held up by Crystal flower and hanging kite shaped pendants. The central Giltwood fut decorated by additional foliate designs has three different levels of Crystal beaded sprays ending with additional Crystal flowers and hanging prisms. The top is finished with a Giltwood finial below the iron hanging loop.
