A French 19th century Louis XV st. crystal chandelier
About the Item
A beautiful and extremely decorative French 19th century Louis XV st. gilt metal and Baccarat crystal chandelier. The eight arm eighteen light chandelier is centered by a most elegant hand blown bottom crystal ball with delicate facetted designs below lovely scrolled acanthus leaves. The exceptional scrolled branch like arms lead upwards decorated with exquisite large thick tear drop shaped crystal pendants leading to foliate bobeches with unique and most decorative crystal ball pendants. At the center are additional most decorative acanthus leaves concealing light bulbs which face inwards illuminating the luxuriant scrolled foliate cage and giving off a wonderful warm glow. The top crown also displays additional remarkable scrolled foliate designs adorned with fine tear drop cut crystal pendants and most attractive amber colored crystal pendants.
