A small French 19th century Louis XV st. Ormolu and Crystal chandelier
About the Item
A small French 19th century Louis XV st. Ormolu and Crystal chandelier. The six arm chandelier displays a central fut decorated with foliage amidst a twisted ribbon. The fut is surrounded by the six scrolled arms leading to the scalloped shaped saucers with hanging cut faceted prisms and water drop shaped crystals. Above are the electrified candle cups with spiral foliage designs. Below the arms are scrolled acanthus leaves with additional hanging crystal water drops and cut crystals. At the top is a fanciful crown with berried branches and acanthus leaves decorated by hanging crystals.
