Italian Art Deco Alabaster Chandelier with original Chain, 1940s
Italian Art Deco alabaster pendant chandelier, Italy, circa 1930-1940.
This elegant chandelier features a beautiful alabaster shade on white ground with brown-grey-black gorgeous natural unique veins, which are sometimes mistaken for cracks but are natural to old alabaster.
The bowl was carved and turned by hand, which you can feel when touching by hand (light irregularities on the surface, which are typical for hand-made items.)
The chandelier was polished and wax coated professionally by a stonemason. The chain with small brass details was cleaned and is ready for use. New wiring. Ready to use.
