Italian Modernist Pendant, 1950s

About the Item

Rare modernist Italian pendant or ceiling light from the 1950s. Composed of a large ribbed satin glass diffuser and brass hardware with graphical black lacquered brass finials on both ends of the glass. Very nice original condition with some patina on the brass. One original brass and ceramic E27 socket with new wiring. Measures: Height 78cm (31″), Body height 42cm (16.5″), Diameter 15cm (6″), Canopy 5cm (2″)

A fabulous and highly sought after Mid-Century Modernist Stilnovo model "1135/2" double ceiling pendant light, made in Italy, circa 1950s. Each light consists of a conical shaped Opaline "Triplex Opal" glass shade mounted on a brass tube with matte black enamelled metal collar & cap detail.
