KOKON is a living object, shifting in perception depending on its surroundings. It resembles a closed form, concealing a source of light within—mysterious, protected, seemingly frozen in a moment of transformation. Its raw texture, asymmetry, and matte surface evoke something organic and primal, as if it were not crafted but discovered in nature.
The light seeping through the textured opening enhances the contrast between the rough exterior and the warm, soft glow inside. This interplay makes KOKON not just a lamp but an installation, one that interacts with light, shadows, space, and perception.
Each piece is handcrafted, using recycled paper and a decorative protective coating. When grouped together, these lamps resemble clusters of primordial matter suspended in the air, while a single piece becomes a meditative object, transforming the surrounding space into something beyond the ordinary.
