About the Item

This magnificent chandelier was one of twenty commissioned for the casino at the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City at a cost of 800000.00 EACH (almost 1.7 million today) in the late 1980s. it was manufactured by Faustig featuring Swarovski Strass crystal and 24 carat gold plated frame. Their scale is impressive 11 Feet X 14 Feet X 8 Feet. The chandelier is 11 feet tall, the diameter is 8 feet wide x 8 feet and sits within a medallion that is 14 feet x approximately 8 feet deep. The chandelier frame is metal and covered in 24kt gold plating. Kurt Faustig prides himself on having the finest, most discriminating finishes, crystals and designs and works hand-in-hand with his customers to exceed their specification and demands in every way. The crystals are Strass crystals and these are hand-made in Italy for his Munich based business. The chandelier is crated in 7 boxes and cost 20000.00 to professionally package and crate. We will be happy to provide delivery in crates to your location for the selling price, however we can't install or inspect the crates and will not be responsible for this in any way. There are over 80000 so its entire possible that a few, maybe a dozen or more, maybe a hundred, are chipped or broken. Obviously these can be replaced. The frames we assume are in good condition since gold doesn't oxidize but there may be signs of wear or use we can't account for. These are used. They are ready to ship right away. These are perfect for a wedding or catering hall or another casino. These are the only photos we have. Mr. Kurt Faustig who met Mr. and Mrs. Trump on several occasions vividly remembers the order and confirms that all FAUSTIG chandeliers are partially trimmed with Swarovski STRASS crystals. Bobeches, vases, glass arms, large teardrops, are from other excellent glass makers. The metal parts are 24 carat gold-plated, high gloss protection lacquered. The lacquer is burnt in at very high temperature to withstand any negative influences. The quality of this surface is unrivaled.
