Large Art Déco Pendant Light, Germany 1920s - 1930s
About the Item
Large pendant light from the 1920s - 1930s with a blue textured glass shade and cable suspension. The large glass shade has a beautiful shape with radial steps and a blue texture with white reflections, similar to pointillism in painting.
Condition: There is a small break at one point on the edge of the shade, followed by a hairline crack - see detailed photos. The cables are slightly worn near the canopy, the chrome plating of the brass canopy is worn and has a broken spot at the top edge - otherwise in good condition. The cables can be slightly adjusted at the bottom using the brass nut. The suspension is still original, and the socket and cable have been replaced in keeping with the style. A beautiful collector's item from the Art Deco period with typical signs of aging.
