About the Item

An impressive large-scale chandelier with asymmetric brass frame and large ceiling canopy in art deco or Bauhaus style. The design is attributed to Kaiser of Germany, probably 1930s - 1950s. Lights of this design and size were often used in public buildings such as cinemas. The light is shown here with 60cm LED tube-bulbs, fitted to the original lamp-holders, for illustration only as wiring conversion will be required in the country of install. Wiring: Originally designed to be lit by five fluorescent tubes that create part of the silhouette, this light will require conversion and rewiring by your electrician - all old wiring and ballast has been removed; original bulb-sockets are in place. The brass is bright (golden tones) as in the main image and generally in fair shape. There are signs of age-related wear to both the brass and the painted canopy. The light can be hung without the larger grey-painted canopy if required. The light will ship with stem/canopy removed and without the tube-bulbs. Approximate dimensions as shown: H: 125cm complete with stem and canopy H: 115cm without stem and canopy Dia: 60cm at widest
