Large Ceiling Round Chandelier by Felipe Derflingher "Feders"

About the Item

Beautiful large chandelier made with two tiers of black wrought iron rings filled with square molded artisan glass pieces in assorted lively colors, 38 pieces in all. Its sturdy build requires a thick chain for hanging (attached). Manufactured in the 1960s by Felipe Derflingher "Feders". It carries four regular (new) sockets for standard light bulbs and has a frosted lucite piece as a diffuser at the bottom. Feders lamps were manufactured in the city of Cuernavaca, State of Morelos, Mexico, and became very popular at Mexican homes and vacation ranches during the 1960s and 1970s. In recent years they became very sought-after pieces for their unique character and artisan look. The metal has been repainted and the electricity rewired.
