About the Item

A unique and large French Art Deco chandelier attributed to Ezan with an intriguing two-tone finish, boasts six arms in a stunning arrangement. Each arm is adorned with exquisitely molded frosted art glass cups exhibiting a captivating geometric pattern, blending a crosshatch / basket weave design along with a graceful waterfall motif. These satellite dishes are held by six nickeled bronze, clean lined, tubular arms gracefully angled outward. Adding to its distinctive and whimsical charm, six tropical and exotic birds, finished in a rich coppery hue, are gracefully perched amidst curved leafy palm accents. They encircle the six tubular stem drop, which culminates in a hexagonal-shaped bullet finial. This masterpiece is completed by a matching geometric canopy, creating a harmonious visual symphony. Both of these geometric and fauna motifs typify the period of French design inspired by the Paris Exhibition of 1925, entitled the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, dedicated to the display of modern decorative arts.
