About the Item

A large size Art Déco Murano blown glass six-light chandelier, a timeless fumè chandelier with extremely essential and elegant design. This hand-blown Murano glass is an exquisite rich and warm smoked tone dating back to 1920s circa. The central stem consists of many glass elements, a lower bowl holding six curved arms decorated by oval blown glass drops, and six pastorals on the upper part of the structure. Each glass element is masterfully handmade and detailed with a fluted motif. The stem consists of many glass vases, a lower bowl holding six curved arms decorated by oval blown glass drops and six pastorals on the upper part of the structure and six upwards corollas. Two corollas has been replaced and blown in the same color in a Venetian furnace. Hanged in a private villa of Milan where the original owner had replaced two original elements, two bowls in 1950s, this timeless chandelier dates back to the second decade of 1900 and it is in good age related condition, wear consistent with use and age, it shows a very small chipping on the edge of one cup and a minor loss, a bobeiche, see last listed detailed closed-up pictures. The chandelier has been newly rewired as per Italian standard – max 360 watt, 6 E14 light-bulbs. The chandelier' structure only, without chain, measures 51 inches height, by 41,5 diameter. Measures: Height 130 cm Diameter 105 cm. Please kindly notice that for a safe shipping it must be disassembled and professionally packed. Each element will be individually wrapped with paper first, than rolled with plastic bubble wrap, placed within a bespoke fumigated wooden crates full of packing peanuts, chips. We will provide customer with video and instructions for chandelier's reassembling. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2-3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.
