About the Item

An exquisite late 19th-century French chandelier in the Napoleonic style, crafted circa 1880. This elegant fixture features a gilt-painted tole frame with four scrolling arms, each adorned with faux candle sleeves and flame-style bulbs. The architectural crown is decorated with embossed foliate crests, from which cascade delicate garlands of faceted crystal drops and oval prisms, forming a graceful basket silhouette. The chandelier retains its original patinated gold finish, beautifully aged, and is richly ornamented with finely cast floral appliques and flourishes on the central ring. The layered crystal strands create a dazzling interplay of light and texture, offering a refined balance between opulence and restraint. Currently not wired; rewiring available upon request at an additional cost.
