About the Item

A Louis XV style "Basket" chandelier, with a bronze frame of slender curving bars, supporting a single tier of 8 lights. Dating from the late 1800s, and French in origin. The crystal prisms in various forms, with scattered colored pendants throughout the body of the chandelier. The base with a small crystal globe suspended from a chain of smaller cut prisms.
