About the Item
This Grand Maison Baguès silverleaf wrought iron rock crystal chandelier with twelve lights was hand assembled using traditional techniques. The Fashionable Baguès chandelier has a silverleaf wrought iron frame in the chinoiserie taste that is elegantly decorated with rock crystal pendants, crystal prisms, crystal beads, crystal bobeches, crystal leaves, crystal flowers, crystal finials and highlighted with amethyst drops. The Baguès chandelier has an interior crystal beaded vase with crystal foliage leaves and flowers rising from the center. There are four wrought iron silver-leaf supports devising the frame each finishing in clusters of three Crystal Candle Cups with Bobeches decorated with crystal foliage leaves and flowers. There are four silverleaf branches with crystal foliage with leaves and flowers rising up between the candle arms from the console. The chandelier is finished with a rock crystal sphere.
Noël Baguès grandsons Victor & Robert designed their own iron models in Silver-leaf and Gold-leaf with elegance and grandeur using Rock Crystal, Foliage Crystal, and Crystal Pendants. This Maison Baguès Silverleaf Chandelier was published in ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST Special Design Issue in the 2000's. A copy of the article will be provide once procured.
