Maria Theresa chandelier in transparent Murano glass, Italy, 1930s.
This chandelier is simply astonishing. The framework is in golden iron, surrounded by transparent Murano glass. There are 11 lights and a profusion of crystal decorations, octagonal elements, faceted pears and spheres. Winding arms stretch out and sustain the bobeches and the lightbulbs.
This massive chandelier is decorative and truly magnificent, due to its sinuous shape, and its abundance and fineness of details. A timeless artpiece from a past age.
The chandelier was entirely handcrafted in the island of Murano (Italy) in the 1930s and it is in perfect original condition, as documented in the attached photos.
