About the Item
Chandelier in opal glass curved and acid etching processing inside each elementa. An Italian production Mazzega Murano glass in the late 1960s.
In the international panorama of "art glass," the Mazzega srl glassworks still represents, at the threshold of the third millennium, a craft and manufacturing activity of absolute excellence. It is the direct heir of the historic Mazzega IVR, which was the creator, from the mid-1950s, of a profound artistic and conceptual renewal in the field of art glass production in Murano.
The collaboration with the artists of the Fucina degli Angeli (Angels' Forge) dates back to that period, which includes in its ranks, a refined and cosmopolitan elite of the 20th century European art world: from Marc Chagall to Pablo Picasso, from Giò Ponti to Georges Braque and Jean Cocteau, from Fulvio Bianconi to Carlo Scarpa.
