Mazzega Murano Glass Iced Leaves Chandelier, 1960s-70s, 36 leaves total* This is a large sized, vintage Murano glass "Iced Leaves" chandelier by Mazzega with 36 large leaves. The leaves are about 8 x 7 inches each, thick clear glass, with the inner side of each leaf "iced" (textured with white bits of additional glass) as shown in photo. With the leaves on, the chandelier measures about 20 x 16 (estimate). The chandelier is a 6 light design. It can look warmer or cooler depending on the type of bulbs you use. Unlit it appears white, depending on the light in the area. The frame is brass in pre-owned condition. It needs to be wired as the brass frame was somehow separated from its original wiring during a move. *Important: Six of the thirty-six leaves are damaged, in the following ways: Four of the six have been repaired in a cursory way with Araldite Crystal Clear Epoxy for glass; one of the six is missing an upper side piece; and one is missing the very tip of the leaf bottom. The other 30 are undamaged. Each will be carefully packed individually as we do with any valuable Murano glass item to best ensure their safe travel to you. This item may be shipped in more than one box -- likely two or three to best protect the glass. Note: We may decide to sell the 30 undamaged leaves as replacements rather than sell the entire chandelier. We mention this to make you aware that this offering may be short term. The measurements of the hanging chandelier are approximate as unfortunately we forgot to perform a final measuring before packing up each individual leaf. Please do message us with your questions. Repaired: Four of the leaves have been repaired in a cursory way to rejoin breaks. Two additional leaves could not be repaired as pieces were lost. Because they layer over each other, damage might not be noticed when hung. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Minor fading. As explained in the main description, 6 of the 36 leaves have damage/fall into the "distressed" category. The brass/metal frame shows its age, in our opinion, though nothing out of the ordinary was noted. The price reflects the condition of the item.
