About the Item

At its most basic level, Mid-Century Modern designs are known for juxtaposing sleek lines with comfortable, inviting shapes, using new materials and methods to re-imagine traditional pieces. This ceiling lamp is a perfect example of this, with a futuristic look that isn’t a complete departure from the past. In general, Mid-Century Modern lamps are geometric, with globes, hourglasses, and rings being the dominant shapes. This model showcases an hourglass-like shape, or even a shape more comparable to a diabolo.
