Mid-18th Century English Brass Six-light Chandelier

About the Item

An extraordinary period 18th century brass chandelier of rare form. Delicate leaf links suspended from the original ceiling mount support a trefoil hook and the body of the light from which extend six branch arms and bobeches with alternating decorative elements. Gadrooned detailing tot he top and base pendant. Previously drilled for electricity and presented as candle-burning. England, c. 1750.
