Mid-Century Brass Chandelier with Large Opaque Glass Shades

About the Item

A mid-century brass chandelier with six large opaque glass shades. European manufacture, in the style of the Italian label Stilnovo. 1950s or 1960s. The piece is in good vintage condition and the large glass shades give good light. There is some wear in line with age and use throughout, including are minor flakes to the cream-coloured paint to the central stem and chips to the glass at the top rim of one piece (see images for details and overview). There is a nice aged patina to the brass, which we have left unpolished. Wiring and bulbs: The wiring has been replaced to UK standard in recent years; we advise this is tested/replaced prior to installation to meet local needs. The existing lamp-holders take small screw-fitting bulbs, and we recommend low-heat options to protect this piece for the future.
