Mid-Century Danish Ubo Pendant Lamp by Bent Karlby for ASK Belysninger
About the Item
Rare pendant lamp from the Danish manufacturer Schrøder-Kemi/ASK after a design by Bent Karlby from the 1960s.
The impressive lamp body shows an organic design language with its soft curves. The shade is made of fiberglass and thus enables this sculptural form from one casting. It is kept in matt dark brown, which when switched on appears almost black in the room. Inside there is a reflector made of aluminum which directs the light downwards. A special detail is the pressure switch in the recess on the top, which can be used to switch the light additionally.
The lamp is in very good condition and has hardly any signs of use.
Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard).The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
