This expansive and beautifully proportioned Mid-Century Modernist Eight Globe Chandelier in Polished Brass is by the esteemed designer Hans Agne Jakobsson originates from Sweden, Circa 1960. Features a sleek geometric frame in gleaming polished brass with eight rectilinear arms that extend to intersect the cylindrical elements that support the rounded and subtly smoked glass shades. Above each shade is a lovely proportioned brass cylinder. The piece hangs from a sculptural canopy and slender rod also in polished brass, lending a beautifully delicate feeling to this fixture while maintaining an excellent scale and presence. Designed by Hans Agne Jakobsson, a Swedish interiors & furniture designer highly renown for his lighting designs, often utilizing warm light and well balanced organic forms. This stunning fixture will be a fantastic addition to those with an appreciation for the best of 20th Century design and craft, styling beautifully in a wide array of settings and spaces, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. This piece is newly rewired to American Standards and height can be adjusted to suit. Takes eight edison base bulbs achieving up to 800 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
