Mid-Century Modernist Chandelier in Ebonized Walnut, Brass, and Textured Glass

About the Item

This sophisticated chandelier features five frosted ecru glass globes with clear cross hatching in organic geometric patterns and a billowing form that tapers towards the top. The angular and geometric forms of the arms in lustrous brass with stiletto form embellishments in burnished walnut offers a dynamic counterpoint to the organic curves of the shades. The arms attach to a cylindrical polished brass base accented with a brass finial, in the same finish, below. An hourglass form in burnished walnut, with brass accents, attaches the base to the chain. This chandelier embodies the Quintessence of Mid-Century design at its most versatile and refined. It accommodates five candelabra based bulbs. The fixture has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. German, circa 1960 Dimensions: 24" Diameter x 29" Height.
