Mid to Late 18th Century George III Crystal Chandelier

About the Item

Mid to late 18th century English cut glass chandelier. 12 light. Blueish Grey Tinted Crystal, referred to as “Derby Blue” Crystal, from ores mined prior to 1810 in Derbyshire England. Almond Cut Crystals, Large Candle and arms characteristic of crystal chandeliers of Mid 18th Century. Some Cracks, normal for age. Chandelier is currently unwired, but can be wired to the buyer’s specification. Shows similarity to some works of the same time by Parker and Perry. Period Made: 18th Century Width (Diameter): 36" Height: 61" Condition Details: Excellent Condition for Age, a few candlecups are cracked. Original Almond Crystals are almost all present, some chipping as expected for age.
