Midcentury French Gothic Black and Gilt Painted Iron Six-Light Crown Chandelier

About the Item

This intricate antique iron light fixture was forged in France circa 1970. Round in shape, the Gothic chandelier features a circular hammered crown decorated with bolts around the perimeter and embellished with numerous spikes on the coronet. The Medieval style fixture has six forged arms supported by scalloped bobeche plates, each light newly wired and dressed with thick decorative candle sleeve covers. The three chains are connected to the original top ceiling canape. The old world chandelier is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original patinated black painted finish with gilt accents throughout. The elegant antique style fixture would make a wonderful statement in an entryway, a powder room, or over a breakfast room table. Measures: 27" Diameter, 36" Height.
