Model T771 pendant, designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, manufactured by AB Markaryd, Late 20th Century. Painted metal and brass. Good vintage condition, minor patina consistent with age and use.
Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) was a Swedish furniture and interior designer who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was particularly known for his unique lighting, which was characterised by soft, glare-free light and an organic artistic style. Jakobsson's work was inspired by Alvar Aalto and the Danish lighting design master Poul Henningsen, among others.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
