Modernist 15 Arm Chandelier in Brushed Brass & Transparent Cylindrical Shades
About the Item
This stunning and graphic modernist chandelier was realized in Italy during the latter half of the 20th century. It features 15 rectilinear arms in brushed brass extending from a volumetric circular body with a brass center surrounded by textural glass. The brass arms are capped with cylindrical translucent glass shades each replete with a wealth of clear Murines. Brass cylindrical finials extend downwards from the supports of each of the glass shades reiterating their form in miniature. The chandelier attaches to a volumetric circular canopy via a cylindrical rod- all in brushed brass. With its striking silhouette- full of the verve for which great Italian design is renowned- and beautiful attention to detail, this chandelier is as versatile as it is stunning. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates 15 candelabara based bulbs offering up to 900 watts of light.
